This wheel set is a Used set of Velomax hubs (from a 2005 set of Ascent 2 wheels) rebuilt into a new set of Velocity Fusion rims, and Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Black spokes and Rim, with machined sidewalls. The Ascent 2 wheels were built to be super light climbing wheels, we have rebuilt these to still be very light climbing wheels but now with the #1 bladed spoke on the market and a stronger & taller rim can handle heavier riders and is much more aero.
The CX-Ray spoke is the same spoke Zipp uses on all their wheels and has the highest fatigue rating of any spoke on the market as well as superior aerodynamics. These wheels built with the Fusion rim, 18 spoke front, and 24 spoke rear, with Velomax hubs using a straight pull spoke to reduce fatigue and improve stiffness.
The Ascent to originally sold for $750.00 for the set, this set has been upgraded with the rim and spokes
& would normally retail for 900.00 new, however since the hubs are not new but still in like new condition. We are selling this set for
$520.00. This set comes with the same warranty that all our new wheels come with.

This wheel set is a rebuilt set of Ritchey Aero/Aero OCR wheels, The rims are in like new condition, the Velocity hubs are sealed bearing hubs, and the spokes are Sapim Race 14/15g double butted spokes on the drive side of the rear were the tension is the highest for durability and stiffness, to ensure maximum power transfer. The Front wheel & Non drive side is built with Sapim Laser 14/17g spokes to shave weight and improve aero dynamics.
These wheels are better than most $500.00 wheel sets on the market, They are reduced because the rims were ridden on just enough so we can not call them new. Wear on the braking surface is not visible. These wheels also come with the same warranty as all our new wheel sets.
